  1. Well said. When Khrushchev became more blustery beating on a table with his shoe saying “we will bury you,” President Eisenhower (a former General) became calmer and reassuring to Americans. In the long fight, the USSR no longer exists. The incumbent President beating on his chest like his immature opponent does not make one tougher. With his ego, it just heightens the probability of doing something stupid.

    1. True chest pounding doesn’t make one tougher. It does though tend to get the chest pounder some attention, good or bad. Although that in turn probably gives them the reward they were looking for and perpetuates continued chest pounding.
